What is Immanuel's Rite of Passage Ministry?

 

Immnuel's Rite of Passage Ministry for Boys and Girls is a Christian manhood/womanhood training ministry intended to help youth transition into adulthood by defining, explaining what the bible reveals about being a man or woman. Its aim is to help youth transition through the significant changes associated with adolescence while preparing them for a responsible and faithful life in Christian adulthood.

 

Who is this ministry for?

Boys and girls, grades 6-12, are the ideal candidates for this ministry. They are just at the age when they are starting to develop serious questions about life and their place in it – but they have not yet reached the age when they believe they already have all of the answers. They are also experiencing dramatic physical and emotional changes as their bodies launch them toward physical maturity. This is the perfect age to mark this transition with meaning, purpose and significance.

 

Why do we need this ministry here at Immanuel’s Church?

The challenges our youth face today are more intense, in many cases, than what their parents experienced. As a community, we must support each other as parents and reinforce the lessons we have taught our children by preparing them to face the many difficult choices they will face, living according to the word of God, trusting Him to guide them into a life of responsible adulthood.
